Višković, Pašalić and Tomaš visited Mladegs Pak
Prime Minister Radovan Višković, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Srpska Boris Pašalić, and the Mayor of Prnjavor Darko Tomaš visited the company, Mladegs Pak.
During the visit, the guests toured the company's production facilities and discussed new projects launched by the company in order to completely modernize the process. The new ketchup factory, one of the main projects, is coming to an end. The total value of the project is estimated at 5m euros.
The big next step is the tomato plantation project, which would provide the company with its own raw materials and thus complete the ketchup production process. This was exactly what was discussed at the last session of the Government of Srpska, which made a decision to raise the issue of issuing a concession to this business entity, in order to encourage domestic production in that way as well.
"It is not a tomato that is made in greenhouses, it is a completely different type of production where specific machines are needed. This enables, not only this business entity but also future subcontractors who want to cooperate with them" said Prime Minister Višković.
Minister Boris Pašalić confirmed how important this step would be for the company itself, saying that in this way the company will no longer depend on imported products and suppliers of raw materials because a significant part will be produced on its own plantations.Export manager Mladen Pratljačić also commented on the current situation. He assessed the situation as good, but also noted that there are big turbulences in the market, that supply chains have been broken, and that prices are rising every day.
The primary production of the company is ketchup, and it produces as much as 54 tons of ketchup per day. In addition to ketchup, the company has over 350 items in its range. It earns 27 million KM annually, and almost 50 percent is outside BiH because it exports its products throughout Europe. The expansion of the company is in the interest of the local community because it will create conditions for new jobs.
